Some API documentation reported to be for Google's search API was recently leaked, providing some insights into the black box.
While this is, in and of itself, quite fascinating, the more interesting insight is to think about how all of these Big Tech black boxes operate (social feeds, inbox filters, etc).
There are always folks out there trying to provide you with purported tips to "beat the algorithm", but as you'll quickly see, these black boxes are hugely complex and you're usually always better off trying to work to solve the problem that the black box is itself trying to solve.
Want your website to rank on search engines? Build a strong brand and create useful, unique content that is relevant for specific queries.
Want your emails to get through inbox filters? Build a relationship with your subscribers by sending them useful and relevant content that they'll engage with.
Want your posts to be seen on social media? Create content that resonates with your audience and that drives engagement on the social platform.
Stop trying to game the black boxes, Big Tech co's almost definitely hire people smarter than you (and certainly me).
